رواية تعبر عن نوع مغاير تماما للحب للذي تفشى في الأوساط مؤخرا، نوع مختلف عن ذلك الحب المليء بالترهات والتلاعب المخل بالأخلاق العامة والآداب،مختلف عن ذلك النوع الذي يكون منبعه الشهوة لا القلب؛ كتبتها لأخبر عن هذا النوع من الحب الذي لو كان سائدا لكان الوضع مختلف عما هو الآن، لسقطت الأقنعة الزائفة وتكلمت القلوب التي لا تكذب بدلا عن الأفواه.
أما بالنسبة لتسميتي لها بالعاشق الجبان.. فهي تسمية من وجهة نظر المجتمع لمن يتمسك بالعادات في حبه، فأخترت التسمية من وجهة نظر المجتمع لا من وجهة نظري، لأجعل القارئ بعد إكماله للرواية يغير نظرته لذلك العاشق الذي كان قد خلف إنطباعا خاطئا عنه قبل القراءة ومن مجرد العنوان.
