«السودان»؛ بلادٌ لطالما ضمَّت أنسابًا وأديانًا وأعرافًا عدَّة، إلى أن قصمت الحرب ظهرها، وأعادت الندوب تشكيل خارطتها. بلادٌ يسكنها زخمٌ من التفاصيل، و يَنبت في شُرُفات بيوتاتها الأمل برغم السَّقَم، تلُفُّها الأسطورة، ويقطر من سمائها الحكي فوق رءوس الخلائق. أربع روايات تحت عنوان: «ثلاثية البلاد الكبيرة» و«العاشق البدوي»، يأخذنا «عبد العزيز بركة ساكن» خلالها في رحلة إلى بلاده الكبيرة، يُطلعنا على خباياها، يُسمعنا أنين أهلها وأرضها، ويتركنا في حنين إلى البشرة السمراء والأعين الغائرة.
نتساءل: هل بإمكاننا أن نأمل في مُتنفَّسٍ للحرية في محيطٍ يملؤه الاستبداد والقهر؟ هل يُمكن التأسيس لجمالٍ خاصٍ وسط القبح؟ وهل يُمكن للعلاقات أن تحفظ نقاءها دون أن تُدنَّس بوقاحة الواقع؟ أسئلة تُطرح بشكل يوميٍّ في دوائر مُصمتة، تدور فيها الحكايات دون أن تصل لأكثر من دوائر جديدة لتساؤلات أكثر. «الطواحين» هي كتابةٌ عن دوائر الناس، يقف «عبد العزيز بركة ساكن» في مركز إحداها ليروي لنا حكاية نضالٍ ضدَّ السلطة المستبدة، على لسان امرأة تسكن عالمًا أصرَّ على أن يضعها في قالب أصغر من أحلامها، حكاية القدِّيسة «سهير حسَّان» و«المختار» الذي كان مُتنفَّسها للحكي، ومعهما جوقة من المتمردين على قواعد بالية لحياة سابقة التجهيز. عالمٌ غنيٌّ جديرٌ بالتناول، صاغه الكاتب ببراعةٍ في الجزء الأول من «ثلاثية البلاد الكبيرة» و«العاشق البدوي».
