معلوم أن الأشياء كلها لها ظاهر وباطن وهو لبها، فكذلك الدنيا والآخرة، وللدنيا أبناء، وللآخرة أبناء، فأبناء الدنيا شغلوا بما تقتضيه حظوظهم، وشهواتهم، وأهواؤهم، وما يدعوهم إليه الحس والجسم، فرضـوا بالحياة الدنيا، واطمأنوا بها ﮋﯫ ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﮊ (الرعد:26). فاستخدموا جوهر النفس النوراني، ونور العقل الروحاني لتحصيل كماليات الجسد الفاني، جهلا بالآخرة، أو تجاهلا.
والصوفي عرف قدر الدنيا بالتعليم، وتحقق زوالها بالتفكير، وأيقن أن بعدها دارا هي الدار حقا، لا يسعد فيها إلا من تخلى عن دنس الأجسام، وخبث الشياطين، ودناءة البهائم، وبلادة النباتات، وثقل الجمادات، حتى يتشبه بعالم الملكوت الأعلى.
الصوفي علم قدر الدنيا والآخرة، فقدم ما يبقى على ما يفنى، وباع ما يزول بما يدوم.
