ماهية الحسد :
الحسد عند الناس تمنى الحاسد زوال النفع والخير من عند المحسود أى كراهية الحاسد نعمة الله على أخيه وحبه لزوالها عنه والحق هو أن الحسد كراهية للمحسود سببها هو فضل الله الذى أعطاه للمحسود أى كراهية لمن عنده النعمة وليست كراهية للنعمة وقد ورد ذكر الحسد فى القرآن فى مواضع قليلة هى :
-قوله بسورة البقرة ود كثير من أهل الكتاب لو يردونكم من بعد إيمانكم كفارا حسدا من عند أنفسهم من بعد أن تبين لهم الحق وهذا القول يعنى أن عدد كبير من أهل الكتاب اليهود والنصارى أحبوا أن يعيدوا المسلمين بعد إسلامهم إلى الكفر والسبب هو الحسد عند أنفسهم وهو الكراهية فى أنفسهم ،إذا فسبب تمنى ارتداد المسلمين بعد أن نالوا نعمة الإسلام هو الكراهية والبغض المتمكن فى قلوب أهل الكتاب وهذا التمنى كان بعد معرفتهم الحق وفى تلك الكراهية قال تعالى بسورة آل عمران قد بدت البغضاء من أفواههم وما تخفى صدورهم أكبر .
2-قوله بسورة النساء أم يحسدون الناس على ما أتاهم من فضله يبين الله لنا أن أهل الكتاب يحسدون أى يكرهون الناس وهم المسلمين والسبب ما أتاهم الله من فضله وهو رحمته .
3-قوله بسورة الفلق ومن شر حاسد إذا حسد أى ومن أذى كاره إذا كره أى ومن ضرر باغض إذا بغض ومن هنا نعرف أن الحاسد هو الكاره له شر أى أذى وهو موجه للمحسود وسبب توجيهه هو إزالة النعمة التى عند المحسود ومن ثم فالحسد هو كراهية صاحب النعمة سواء تحولت الكراهية لأذى قولى أو فعلى .
