مارلين نصف صديقتي التي لن أنس يوم غسلت جسدها بزجاجةِ نبيذ كاملة! ووهبتني إياهُ، وضنّت عليَّ بكأس!. فيا لهذه الأنثى المجنونة التي كانت تحلمُ فقط بجولةٍ في شوارعِ البندقية لتعزف القيثارةَ في الجندولِ وهي تحتسي النبيذ المعتّق، ومن ثم تموت. ياااه يا نصف صديقتي يا مارلين!. لقد اخبرتني قبل ردحٍ من الشوق، وقُبيل إقدامنا ارتكابِ معصيةٍ أخرى، تضاف إلى سجلِ اخفاقات شرطة الآداب المصرية، التي لا تتحقّق جيداً من هويات العشاق، ولا تمعن النظر في بطاقاتهم المزورة، رديئة التزييف. لم أزل أذكر نظرتك الخافتة إذ قلتِ: يا ابن النيل، سارتحل بعيداً حتى أقصى المدن المسوّرة بالملح، وسأعود إلى دياري عذبةً نقية، فهل ستضمن لي ذلك؟. هل تذكرين ردّي عليكِ يا مارلين يا ابنة الغيم؟. لقد قلت لكِ: كما اسلفتِ، أنا ابن النيل، ولقد عوّدني هذا النهر المتعجرف ألا يرجع إلى منابعه مهما حصل، بل سيكفيه شرف الانتحارِ في أعماقِ البحارِ المتكلِسة ملحاً.
