تفسيرٌ ميسَّر للقرآن الكريم أعدَّه مجمع الملك فهد وفقَ أصول التفسير وموارده الأصيلة، وقد اختير لوضع صيغته الأولى نخبة من أساتذة التفسير المشهود لهم بالعلم والكفاءة، ضمن ضوابط من أهمها: 1) تفسير الآيات وفق مذهب السلف الصالح في الاعتقاد. 2) تقديم ما صحَّ من التفسير بالمأثور على غيره. 3) الاقتصار في النقل على القول الصحيح أو الأرجح. 4) إبراز الهداية القرآنية ومقاصد الشريعة من خلال التفسير. 5) كون العبارة مختصرة سهلة، مع بيان معاني الألفاظ الغريبة أثناء التفسير. 6) وقوف المُفسِّر على المعنى المُساوِي للآية، وتجنّب الزيادة الواردة في آياتٍ أُخر، كي تُفسِّر في موضعها. 7) إيراد معنى الآية مباشرة دون الحاجة إلى الأخبار، إلا ما دعَت إليه الضرورة. 8) كون التفسير وفق رواية حفص عن عاصم. 9) تجنّب ذكر القراءات، ومسائل النحو والصرف والإعراب، والبلاغة. 10) تفسير كل آية على حِدة، ولا تُعاد ألفاظ النص القرآني إلا لضرورة، ويذكر في بداية تفسير كل آية رقمها. 11) يكون التفسير بالقدر الذي تتسِع له حاشية مصحف المدينة النبوية.
