يتعلق عمل الإيمان بمعرفة الله، ومعرفة رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومعرفة دين الله، وإذا كانت أهمية العمل تتناسب مع الفائدة التي يجنبها الإنسان منه، كما تتناسب مع الخطر الذي يدفعه الإنسان عن نفسه بهذا العلم، فإن علم الإيمان يحقق للإنسان السعادة والفوز العظيم، في الدنيا والآخرة.
ولقد وعد الله المؤمنين في الدنيا بوعود كثيرة، النصر على أعدائهم، الدفاع عنهم، الولاية لهم، الهداية لهم... ولكن من يتأمل أحوال المسلمين اليوم يجد أن ما وعد الله المؤمنين به في الدنيا غير متحقق لهم، مما يشهد بأن إيمانهم ضعيف، أو أنهم فقدوا صفات كثيرة من الإيمان أو اكثرها، فغاب عنهم في حياتهم الدنيا ما وعد الله به المؤمنين، لذلك كان لا بد من تقوية الإيمان وتثبيته بعمل يُصدَّقُ العقيدة ويجددها وذلك بنشر عُلومه بين الملمين، وبتطبيق أحكام الدين، وكان على العلماء أن يبادروا للقيام بهذا الواجب، خاصة وهم يشاهدون هجوم المبادئ الإلحادية على المسلمين. وهذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته هو محاولة صادقة لتنبيه المسلمين إلى واقعهم لذا فقد احتوى على إضاءات دينية هدفها تعريف المسلم بواجباته الدينية وتصحيح التشويه الذي أحدثته المبادئ الإلحادية على المسلمين.
