وإنَّ من هؤلاء الرجال الأفذاذ ، والأئمة الحفَّاظ ، عَلَمُ القرن الثامن الهجري وزهرتُه ، الإمام الحافظ الحجَّة شمس الدين محمد بن الجزري رحمه الله ، والذي أفردتُ له هذه السطور التي ستراها في هذا البحث ، والتي عنت اهتمامه وعلوَّ شأنه في الحديث الشريف وعلومه خاصَّة ، والتي أسميتها: ((الإمام شمس الدين محمد ابن الجزريِّ محدِّثاً )).
إذ الذي حملني على اختياري هذا العُنوان: ما اشتهر بين الناس أن الإمام كان متفنناً في القراءات دون غيرها من العلوم ، فكيف بك أيها اللبيب إذا وقفت على أنه كان إماماً في علوم الرواية والدراية ، رأساً في اللغة والفقه والتصوف وعلى ما صنَّف فيها !! ، وكيف إذا أردفت هذا الوقوف بقراءةٍ متأنيةٍ في نشأته وسيرته ورحلاته وأقوالِ من أثنى عليه من كبار أئمةِ عصره !! ، قدَّس المولى روحه في أعلى الفردوس ، ومن هنا يَبين لك أهمية هذا العُنوان.
