أليس الإرث سبباً في دمار البشرية حسب نظريات "لودويغ فونستودير" أم أنه ضمانٌ للاستمرار عبر جسر الأبناء: "تصبح رجلاً كاملاً و امرأة كاملة حين ترزق بطفلٍ من صلبك ويبكي بين أحضانك لضمان سلسلةٍ فيها والديك من طرف وأبناؤك من الطرف الآخر.... جعلني فقدان والدي رجلاً على حافة الهاوية".
