تتتبع القصة رحلة الطفلة أمل، التي تجد نفسها وحيدة في مواجهة قسوة الحياة بعد وفاة والدتها، في أحد أحياء طرابلس الفقيرة. تعمل أمل لتأمين لقمة العيش، ولكنها تصطدم بظلم المجتمع، من أصحاب السلطة وحتى البسطاء، مما يسلط الضوء على قضايا الفقر وانعدام الإنسانية.
القصة تُبرز كفاح أمل لإيجاد الأمان وسط البرد القارس، حيث تحمل نهاية مأساوية تُجسد واقع الكثير من الأطفال المحرومين، مع رسالة تدعو للتعاطف والمسؤولية المجتمعية.
