تقدم هذه الرواية رحلة فلسفية وسريالية في أعماق النفس البشرية، من خلال قصة "السيدة" التي تلتقي بآنسة غامضة تُدعى "الناعسة" في مقهى قديم. تبدأ الحكاية كلقاء عابر مع شخصية توصف بالسوداوية والسلبية، لكنها سرعان ما تتحول إلى مغامرة "ميتافيزيقية" داخل حلم طويل يكسر حواجز الزمان والمكان.وهي نص أدبي يدمج بين الواقعية النفسية والفانتازيا، ليقول لنا إن كل إنسان نقابله يحمل بداخله قصراً من الأسرار والآلام، وأن الحكم على الآخرين دون معرفة "ممراتهم" هو نوع من الجهل والظلم.
