نصٌ روائي تدور أحداثه في جبلٍ يضم عدةَ قرى. ويعمل على تسيير أمور الجبل سبعةَ حكماء ومن بينهم كبيرٌ يرأسهم. يُعزل كبير الحكماء من منصبه على إثر مكيدةٍ كادها له أحد الحكماء فيمسي بذلك ذليلاً حقير الشأن بين أهل القرى فيخرج إلى مغارةٍ بأعلى الجبل ليعتزل بها الناس إلى أن تَظهر الحقيقةَ اللاتي تبرئه مما يُنسب إليه. فيُقتَل قبل بلوغه ما يصبو إليه. ومن لحظةِ قتله تبدأ الرواية لتسلكَ طريقين أولهما طريق تظهر به ابنة الحكيم المعزول ورحلتها للكشف عن قاتل أبيها والطريق الأخر مُذكرات للحكيم المعزول تروي الأحداث التي تسببت بعزله. وبين هذا وذاك حواراتٍ فكرية عن الدين وقدرته على تسيير الشعوب، عن السلطةِ وخبثها، عن الميكافيلية، وعن الحب أولاً وأخيراً.
بروايةِ إفك الأسياد ستجد أن الرجُلَ يُحاربُ أباه مُتكئا على مبادئه وعقله. وأنَّ الثعلبَ قد يأتيكَ بهيئةِ الحمل حتى يَصل إلى غايته. ليس للنص اتجاه أو تحيز بمكانٍ معين. أو حتى مُسميات شخوصه؛ فسيجد القارئ أن الأسماء اختيرت من كُل ألوان البشر وتصنيفاتهم فهي رواية كُتبت للإنسان فقط أينما كان.
