يتعرض الإنسان لأمراض عديدة، بعضها يصيب الجزء المادي من الجسد، وبعضها يصيب الجزء الروحي، وما من عضو إلا وله آفة أو مرض أو مجموعة أمراض يتعرض للإصابة بها، ويرى البعض أن القلب مجرد آلة وظيفتها ضخ الدم لجسد الإنسان فقط، وأن الشعور والإحساس من عمل الدماغ، وأيا ما يكون العضو الذي يحمل المشاعر والذكريات فإن إصابة النفس البشرية بالأمراض واقع لا شك فيه، فمن مصاب بالعشق والهوى، ومن مصاب بإدمان النظر أو الطعام، أو الهوس ببعض الأفعال والحركات، وغيرها من الأمراض القلبية الكثيرة التي يختلف الناس في إصابتهم بها وطرق علاجهم منها؛ ولذلك سعى العلَّامة الكبير أبو بكر الخرائطي إلى علاج هذه الأمراض التي تُصيب القلب أو النفس، فكتب هذا الكتاب في علاج القلوب ودوائها.
ويسر «دار الفاروق» أن تقدم هذا الكتاب الرائد في مداواة أمراض القلوب من وجهة نظر الشرع الإسلامي إلى قرائها الأعزاء.
