هذا الكتاب عبارة عن مذكرات للكاتب أولاً استعرض فيها بعضاً من سيرة حياته لكنه يروي لنا تفاصيل الانقلابات بوصفه مشاركاً بها،
فالكتاب يرينا أن كل انقلاب ولو كان مشفوعاً بدوافع وطنية إلا أن السلطة لا بد أن تغري من يتسلم زمام القيادة فيقع في ذات الأخطاء التي وقع بها من سبقه، حينها يكون لابد من انقلاب آخر وهكذا .
