تدخل هذه الرواية في إطار السيرة الذاتية، حيث تنطلق الكاتبة من حياتها الخاصة في الطفولة لتدخل في طرح القضايا العامة المحيطة بها، وذلك من خلال نسيج رقيق شفاف، فهي تطرح نصوصها المؤلفة مختلطة بنصوص لكتاب الأدب العالمي، مثل ديكنز وشارلوت برونت، وكارمن لافورت، وأيضاً أبرز كتاب الأدب المحلي القطالوني، تدور أحداث الرواية في بيت الطفولة والمباني المحيطة به من مصحة نفسية إلى محل حلوى الذي يملكه الشاعر فويس، من مقبرة الأم الميتة إلى مكتبة الأب التي تحتوي على الكتب التي منحت البطلة صداقتها، رواية "أسرار حميمة" نوع أدبي يبدو جديداً على أدب الرواية كما نعرفه، فهي نص أدبي مركز يعتمد اللغة الشعرية أكثر من اعتماده على لغة القص المعروفة، وتنطلق الرواية من "مونولوج" خاص حول الحياة والموت، لتصلهما بالحاة العامة عبر الجنون والحب.
