يشاء الله تعالى أن يكون القرآن الكريم هو المنهج والشرعة والمعجزة الباقية لآخر الزمان. ويشاء أيضا ان يقص على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيه نبأ الأولين وقصص السابقين ويثبت به فؤاده في مواقف الشدة.. وفي نزوله يكون متفرقا بين المدينة المنورة ومكة وبين مواقف عديدة تأرجحت بين ما نزل في الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وبيته وصحابته وكذلك المنافقين والكافرين وغير ذلك مما نزل فيه القرآن من مواقف متنوعة وعديدة ونزداد فهما للآيات إذا ما أحطنا بها علما، وهذا هو ما يتوفر لنا في كتاب "النيسابوري" الذي بين يدينا.. فقد جمع فيه أسباب النزول مرتبا تبعا لترتيب السور القرآنية في المصحف الشريف وهو في كل واحدة يذكر الروايات كل مصحوبة برواتها.
