وقد يكن التأثير أسوأ من ذلك، فمن الممكن أن يسفر الأمر عن تدمير العلامة التجارية أو هوامش الربح. إن الاتجاه السائد الذي يقلل من التركيز على رضا العميل ويؤكد على التركيز على الخبرة التي يكتسبها العميل يعد عاملاً أساسياً في التسويق في الوقت الحاضر، لكنه أيضاً مجرد جزء واحد من الصورة.
