عمر فاخوري ( 15 سبتمبر 1895م - 24 أبريل 1946م)، هو أديب وناقد ومفكر لبناني، ويعتبر علم من أعلام النهضة الأدبية المعاصرة في لبنان. ولد في بيروت، وتوفي فيها عن عمر يناهز خمسين عاما، انصرف خلالها إلى دراسة الآداب العربية والأجنبية، فجمع بين الثقافة العربية المتينة وبين الثقافة الأجنبية ولا سيما ناحية الأدب الفرنسي المعاصر. عُرف بنزعته التجديدية وأسلوبه اللاذع الذي يجمع بين الفكاهة والجِدّ، ديباجته تتوافر فيها السهولة والقوّة.
