في تناغم جميل، يمنح اللغة فرادتها وتميزها، تشجو لطيفة الحاج بقلمها شعراً، يخترق الذات، ويستنطق مكنوناتها، بانسيابية تحاكي بها لطيفة كل الذكريات لترسم صورة عن نفسها امرأة وشاعرة وأنثى قبل كل شيء.
في قصيدة بعنوان (أترك أحلامي) تقول الشاعرة. "دع أحلامي، لا تبترها/ وحدي أحددها، وأشكلها كما أريد،/ أتركها، واتركني/ أرسمها، ألونها، وأعيش فيها،/ أحلامي التي كبرت بها،/ ووصلت إلى ما أنا عليه معها،/ أحلامي الجامحة، المجنونة/ أتركها وشأنها/ حتى وإن بالغت فيها/ حتى وإن وجدتها مستحيلة/ تبقى هي أحلامي التي تشبهني وحدي".
توزعت قصائد الديوان على قسمين الأول في الأحلام، والثاني للرثاء (إلى شقيقي: كلام في الفقد). نذكر من عناوينها: دع ظلك هنا، في يقظتي أحلم بك، صقيع حارق، كيف أنسى؟ ... الخ.
