اما الوطن والشهيد فهما مفردتان تغطيان جسد كثير من النصوص في مقاربة وجدانية وان دارت في فلك الاجابة الا انها تحمل بين طياتها الكثير من الاسئلة المتولدة .
ففي قصة" ادهاش" وهي قصة قصيرة جداً (مات الرجل والأطفال والحمار الذي في الحظيرة. قتلهم الجنود. المرأة وحدها ظلّت حية بالصدفة لتلد طفلها. الطفل وهو يخرج كان يبكي، وكأن الحياة مازالت في الخارج بخير، ينتظرها بكاء عفويّ ومدهش.)
