"أحلام آنشتاين" هي رواية عالم الفيزياء آلن لايتمان، وهي واحدة من عديد كتب ألفها منها: إنتقال الزمن، وغليون باباجو، يانكي حديث في محكمة بكونيكتكيت، أصول، الضوء القديم أفكار عظيمة في الفيزياء وزمن النجوم و (أحلام آينشتاين) هي روايته الأولى، نقلها إلى العربية أسامة أسبر.
إنها سنة 1905 في مدينة بيرن السويسرية. كان موظف براءات اختراع شاب يحلم أحلاماً مدهشة عن طبيعة الزمن. إنه ألبرت آينشتاين الذي أوشك على الإنتهاء من نظرية النسبية، كيف كانت أحلامه في تلك الأشهر القليلة الأخيرة والمهمة جداً؟
هنا في هذه الرواية الفريدة، التي أحتفي بها كثيراً ، وعلى مستوى رفيع، يستحضر آلان لايتمان ثلاثين حكاية خرافية "عوالم نظرية عديدة حول الزمن، كانت مواضيع أحلام في ليال كثيرة ... إن الزمن دائري في أحد العوالم، مقدّر على سكانه أن يكرروا النجاح والفشل مرة تلو الأخرى. وفي عالم آخر يحاول الرجال والنساء الإمساك بالزمن، الذي يبدو كعندليب في إناء يشبه الجرس. وفي آخر لا يوجد زمن، ثمة لحظات متجمدة فقط ..." ، "أحلام آينشتاين" هي السيرة الإبداعية للعالِم ألبرت آنشتاين، قبل اختراع نظريته الشهيرة (النسبية) وبعد الإنتهاء منها، هي رؤى تسبر جوهر الزمن، ومغامرة الإبداع، وعظمة آينشتاين. وكما جاء في "وول ستريت جورنال": رواية محرضة للتفكير ... ممتعة للقراءة.
