ما زالت نسبية آينشتاين الخاصة تثير الرعب في نفوس طلابها رغم مرور خمسة وتسعين عاماً على ميلادها. وما زال الحديث عن "تمدد الزمن وانكماش الطول" و"تكافؤ الكتلة والطاقة" يعد ضرباً من الطلاسم والرموز التي يصعب فكها، غير أن الأستاذ الدكتور همام غصيب، يعتقد أن كل ذلك هو "مثال نادر على الوضوح والبساطة والسهل الممتنع".
وهذه محاولة مع النسبية وافتراضاتها من الألف إلى الياء على صفحات هذا الكتاب الذي جاء ضمن جزئين: الأول اشتمل على نص المحاضرة التي ألقاها الدكتور همام غصيب عن نسبية آينشتاني في قاعة المركز العلمي الثقافي/مؤسسة عبد الحميد شومان/عمان يوم 24-1-1987.
وقد نقحه وأضاف إليه لوحات انتقاها بعناية للفنان الهولندي الكبير إيشر، وهي جزء لا يتجزأ من النص، فيه رشاقة وعمق وعلم وفن، أما الجزء الثاني فقد ضم خمسة ملاحق تدعم النص الرئيسي وتعززه.
