أديب وروائي فرنسي ولد بالقاهرة سنة 1947.
غادر سينويه القاهرة عندما كان في عمر التاسعة عشر إلى فرنسا لدراسة الموسيقى في معهد الدراسات الموسيقية في باريس.
وأصبح عازف جيتار ماهر ولاحقاً بدأ بتعليم الجيتار وابتدأ بالكتابة.
في عام 1987 وفي عمر الأربعين أصدر روايته الأولى " المخطوط القرمزي.
وقد نالت جائزة jean de' heures كأفضل رواية تاريخية.
وفي عام 1989 اصدر رواية" ابن سينا والطريق إلى أصفهان " يروي فيها سيرة حياة ابن سينا و رحلاته.
ومن بعدها انتشرت رواياته بكثرة.
صدرت روايته " المصرية" التي تروي تاريخ مصر في القرن الثامن والتاسع عشر وهي جزء من سلسله صدرت في عام 1991 وقد نالت جائزة الأدب اللاتيني.
وفي رواية " السفيرة" 2002 يروي سينويه السيرة الذاتية لإيما ، الليدي هاميلتون.
وفي عام 2004 صدرت روايته المثيرة " the silence of God" وحازت على جائزة في الروايات البوليسية.
أصبح سينويه كاتبا وقاص معترف به لأنواع مختلفة من الروايات وهو أيضاً سيناريست وكاتب نصوص تلفزيونية.

أراد محمد علي، آخر الفراعنة، أن يشيد أجمل قصوره بالإسكندرية، على الطرف القصي من شبه جزيرة فاروس، فوق الراس المسمة رأس التين، بين المرسى الغربي وعرض المياه. كانت هذه المدينة العتيقة تسلب لبه. ربما لأن الصوامع كانت نادرة ها هنا، ولأن الشوارع غير مزدحمة، ولكون الطوفان البشري الذي تعرفه القاهرة غير موجودة هنا. ففي هذا المكان الذي يعد نهاية للنهر الإله، ليس ثمة سوى البحر. ثم، أليس البحر هو الذي ساقه، منذ أربع وعشرين سنة خلت، إلى هذا الشاطئ، بوصفه ضابطاً شاباً ويتيماً بسيطاً من كفاليا على رأس وحدة عسكرية ألبانية؟ ألم يستطع أن يقرأ بثقة على زبد هذا البحث نفسه مجده قبل حصوله؟
