كم كان عمري بإيقاعاتها نغما...
كم كان قلبي لها مرغى وملتخدا
هذي التي استوطنت روحي ضبا أمل واساقطت فوق أشجاني دموع ندى
هذي التي أم نبضي طهر كعبتها
وما رأى غيرها محرابة الأحدا
هذي التي زنبقت بيداء قافيتي واستزرعت في رمالي سجعها الغردا
هذي التي أطلقت أكوان أغنيتي ولم أكن في غناها البكر غير صدى
زرعتها بين حقل الشوق سوسنة فاخضل بالعشق زهر الحقل واحتشدا
سلَلْتها جنة بالحرف وارفةٌ
مهما تغوّل وحش الرمل وازدردا
