في عام مجاعة في قرية نائية يساعد أحد الأغنياء أخاه الفقير بطريقة غير لائقة. كل مساء يقول لخادمته خذي هذاه القصعة من الطعام (كسكسي) إلى "المقبرة المنسية" قاصدا بذلك أخاه. وهي تأخذ الطعام إلى المقبرة وتفرغ الصحن هناك. فلما اعتدلت الأمور ذهب إلى أخيه لإسترجاع حقه. فأجابه أنه لم يأخذ منه شيئا. فنادى الخادمة لتفسير الأمر.. فلما عرف الفقير كيف لقبه أخوه غضب وقرر ألهجرة عن هذه القرية التي لا إعتبار له فيها. وسافر مع زوجته وطفله الرضيع. ووصل إلى منزل جميل طلب فيه الضيافة. ولكن صاحب المنزل غول. وتكشف المرأة الحقيقة بعد حين وتفر بولدها تاركة زوجها. ولما يكبر الولد، يذهب للنفتيش عن أبيه ويواجه الغول...
