قصة صغيرة من علم الخيال
الكون مظلم ناحية القنطور الأقرب. لا شيء يدل على ماهيته رغم كل محاولات الرصد.
يوم 21 جامفي 2205 تنطلق سفينة الفضاء "العاصفة" نحو القنطور. ماذا ستجد يا ترى عند وصولها إلى المكان ؟
بعد الخروج من السحابة السوداء إلى الفضاء بقي نات الحاسوب الذكي صامتا يدرس المحيط. ثم قال : هذه البقعة من الفضاء لا تتطابق مع أي خريطة عندي أو معلومة. خرجنا في الفضاء بين المجرات وليس بين النجوم ولا يمكن معرفة أين،
عد إلى السحابة السوداء واحترم المسافة الأولى الني قطعناها فيها بنفس السرعة ونفس الوقت ثم اخرج منها. فكرة لم أجد غيرها.
لقد كان لنا حظ عظيم أن نعود إلى الفضاء المعروف. ولكن في أي زمان يوجد حاضرنا الحالي لا أدري. السفينة الفضائية لا خلل فيها وأمامها سنوات طويلة من الاشتغال. طاقتها لا تنفد وعلى متنها كل ضروريات الحياة. إن الخطر ليس فوريا، ولكنني أخشى أن نضطر إلى التخلي عن فكرة العثور على كوكبنا كما تركناه. نحن نخضع لتأثير قوى كونية مجهولة لا يمكننا مواجهتها. حان الوقت للبحث عن كوكب صالح للحياة والاستقرار فيه بشكل دائم. سوف نسميه الأرض 2.
