Suzane Khaled Al-Douhaik is a young Syrian author, born and raised in the governorate of Homs. At thirteen, as war invaded her country, Syria, she emigrated with her family to Lebanon. It was at the age of nineteen that she found refuge in Canada.
Suzane publishes several texts in magazines and newspapers, while contributing to numerous academic works. Her first novel, Nafass (2021), written in Arabic, tells the true story of an Arab girl living in Canada. And now his novel is in your hands in English. The book tells about a meeting between the famous doctor and writer Rahma Ali and Nafass Muhammad, an Arab girl who had not been long since her arrival to Canada. Nafass faces the same difficulties in integrating into Canadian society.
