A lithographic reproduction of the copy of the Tyndale Bible originally held in the Baptist College library, Bristol, which lacks the first leaf (title) and has small illuminated woodcuts at the beginning of twelve of the books
Contains introduction, facsimiles, and a list of books printed by Peter Schoeffer of Worms who is identified by the editor as the printer of the original edition
Only 177 copies were issued, of which 26 were printed on large paper or vellum: Herbert no 2
With the inscriptions: "Joseph Storrs Fry, from his affectionate Uncle Francis Fry, 4 Ma. 18. 1862" and "Return to R.E. Pease ... Almondsbury."
