Ne en 1957 a Beyrouth, Robert Malek poursuit ses etudes chez les Jesuites, berce par la musique et le sport. Il quitte le Liban en 1976 en pleine guerre afin de poursuivre a Paris ses etudes de gestion puis d'informatique. Installe a Paris depuis 76, il est marie et pere de deux enfants. Il est chef de projet en informatique. Paris-Beyrouth est son premier roman.
