The Author Book From The Depths Of The Mountain and the author of 15 another books.
صلاح لبكي: أديبٌ وسياسيٌّ وصحفيٌّ لبناني، برَعَ في الشعرِ والنَّثْر، وهوَ أحدُ رُوَّادِ التَّجديدِ في الشِّعرِ اللبناني. كانَ والدُه مِن أدباءِ المهجَرِ وصاحبَ جَريدةِ «الرقيب» و«المناظر».
وُلِدَ «صلاح بن نعوم لبكي» في «سان باولو» بالبرازيل، وما لبِثَ أنْ أكمَلَ عامَهُ الثَّاني حتى اصطحَبَه والدُه في رحلةِ العَودةِ إلى الوطنِ «لبنان»، فتعلَّمَ أصولَ القراءةِ والكتابةِ على يدِ «حنَّا المالكي». الْتحَقَ بعدها بمَدرسةِ الآباءِ الكبوشيِّينَ في «بعبدات»، وتلقَّى دُروسًا خاصَّةً في اللغةِ الفرنسيَّة، ثمَّ درَسَ في مدرسةِ «الحكمة» ببيروت، ثمَّ بمدرسةِ «عينطورة» التي تخرَّجَ فيها عامَ ١٩٢٧م حيثُ نالَ الشهادةَ الثانوية، ثمَّ الْتحَقَ بمَعهدِ الحقوقِ الفرنسيِّ عامَ ١٩٣٠م.
عمِلَ مُدرِّسًا بمعهدِ الحِكمةِ أثناءَ دراستِه الجامعيَّة، واتصلَ بكبارِ رجالِ السياسةِ اللبنانيِّينَ وعملَ بمَكاتبِهِم، ومارَسَ مهنةَ المُحاماةِ والصحافةِ فبرَزَ اسمُه. كتَبَ لعدَّةِ صحُفٍ؛ منها: «البَشير»، و«الحَدِيث»، و«المَعْرض»، و«الشراع»، و«نِداء الوَطَن»، كما أَلقى عدةَ مُحاضَراتٍ حولَ الشِّعرِ العربيِّ المُعاصِرِ في معهدِ الدراساتِ العربيةِ العاليَةِ بالقاهرة.
كانَ عُضوًا في الجمعيةِ الوطَنيةِ اللبنانيةِ وأصبَحَ فيما بعدُ أمينَ سرِّها، كما كانَ عُضوًا في «الجمعية الخيرية البعبداتية» وترأَّسَ جمعيةَ «أهل القلم». انتَمَى إلى الحزبِ القَومي السُّورِي، وأصبحَ نائبًا لرئيسِ الحِزب، وترَكَه عامَ ١٩٣٧م بعدَ أنْ أصبَحَ نائبًا عامًّا. حاوَلَ الانضمامَ إلى حزبِ «الكتائب اللبنانية» فرفَضَ رئيسُ الحزبِ ناصحًا إيَّاهُ أن يكونَ صديقًا للحزبِ لا عُضوًا به.
نالَ الوسامَ الأكاديميَّ الفرنسي، ومُنِحَ درجةَ الدكتوراه الفخريةَ من معهدِ كاليفورنيا الدَّولي، كما نالَ وسامَ الأَرزِ من رُتبةِ ضابِط.
له إنتاجٌ أدبيٌّ نَثريٌّ وشِعريٌّ وفير؛ فمن ناحيةِ الشِّعرِ لهُ عدةُ دواوين، مثل: «أُرجوحة القَمَر»، و«مَواعِيد»، و«سَأم»، و«غُرباء»، و«حَنِين». أمَّا الأعمالُ النَّثريةُ فمنها: «من أَعْماقِ الجَبَل»، و«لبنان الشاعِر». كما كتَبَ عدةَ مقالاتٍ نَقدية، وترجَمَ كتابًا عَنِ الكاتبِ الفرنسيِّ «بودلير»، وتُرجِمتْ له قَصائدُ إلى الإسبانيَّة.
تُوفِّيَ عامَ ١٩٥٥م في «بيت مري» بلبنان.
