يجب اولا قبل الشروع في الحجامة العلاجية بان يعرف الحجام الممرض التاريخ المرضي للمريض قبل الشروع في الحجم وان يقوم بقياس الضغط والاكسجين وتحليل السكر وايضا الوزن ومغرفة التقرير الخاص بالاشعة التي اجراها المريض كي يعمل بعلم ودراية طبية ويبدأ بالوخز بالابر بلطف حتي يتمكن من معرفة نسبة السيولة عند المريض لان الوخز كافي بكشف السيولة قبل اجراء الحجامة ومن ثم يبدا بتدليك عبر جهاز ويكون جهاز التدليك فوق للوحة حرارية كهربائية حتي يحدث ريلكس للعضلات والفقرات ومن ثم عمل كايروبراكايك بجوار الفقرات المصابة ولا يبالغ في استخراج الدم ويكفي نقاط دم سوداء اللون وهذا المطلوب وان يتجنب وضع الفازلين في كاسة الرأس ويمكن استبدالها بزيت الزيتون وبعد الحجامة يجب دهن موضع الحجم عموما بزيت الزيتون حتي يحدث تطرية للجلد
