يُعد هذا الكتاب مساهمة في إثراء الفكر المقاصدي وتثوير آليات العقل القاصد بعد أن اتسع النقاش الفقهي المعاصر بشأن التقنية المناطة بمشروع الجينوم، ومحاولة البحث في تجاربها المختلفة، وتحديد المشروع وغير المشروع فيها، ولأن استعمالات التقنية من ضرر يمس مقاصد أخلاقية عديدة أهمها: (حفظ الأمانة حفظ النفس، حفظ النسل) وبالتالي كان تدخلها مشروعا ضمن ماتحتويه من مفاهيم مركزية طامحة لإعادة الإنسان إلى أصالته الأصلية، وخلخلة المقاصد بعد حبسها داخل دلالات اصطلاحيّة لا تتجاوز الغير إلى إصلاحية بالمعنى القيمي الذي نجده اليوم؛ إذ تتخذ منها قاعدةً لحل مشكلات الوقائع الأخلاقية، وتصحيح مسارات الزواجر الزائفة نحو الهداية البشرية.
