الحمد لله الذي جعل لنا الأرض بساطا لنسلك فيها سبلا ، وجعلنا فيها خلائق لنعمرها لما يريدها سبحانه ، لخير البشرية على مر العصور ، وبحمد الله
على ما مكن لعباده المؤمنين من مشارق الأرض ومغاربها لإقامة ما شرعه
من الفرائض والسنن واشهد أن لااله الاالله وحده لاشريك له المتصرف في
خلقه بالإبرام والنقص والعطاء والمنع والرفع والخفض واشهد أن محمدا
عبده ورسوله اشرف رسول أمر بتوحيد الله وحث على طاعته ، وأفضل
رسول ظهر دينه على الأديان وسلم تسليما كثيرا .
أما بعد
وما نزال نرى استحالة فهم تاريخ المدائن دون فهم الناحية التاريخية
والحضارية التي تشكل جزءان حيويان للمدينة إبان العهد الساساني ،
وتحيلنا إلى فهم الجوانب الحياتية الأخرى .
إن دراسة المدائن يضعنا أمام خبرتها ومتطلباتها وقدرتها على التمثيل
لطاقاتها المتنوعة ومن ثم الانتقال إلى مرحلة الإضافة والإبداع ، اذ تكون
الناحية التاريخية والحضارية الهدف من دراستنا وهذا الأمر من شأنه أن
يقدم صورة حقيقية عن مسيرة المدائن عبر العصور التاريخية ، لاسيما إبان
العصر الساساني ، ويحيلنا الموضوع في قبضة الدراسات السياسية الكثيرة
بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر عن قصد أو دون قصد إلى إظهار التاريخ للمدينة
على انه سلسلة من الصراعات وحسب ، وبهذا المعنى تكون دراسة
التطورات لاسيما التاريخية والحضارية منها جزءا مهما من دراسة تاريخ
المدائن الذي هو جزء غير قابل للاستبعاد إذا أردنا أن يكون صورة دقيقة من تاريخها.
