نبذة عن الكتاب
يعد التنافس من العناصر الأساسية لمحفزات الألعاب الرقمية، كما يعد من ميكانيكيا اللعب، والقوي الدافعة للمتعلم في عملية التعلم، وسمة أساسية من سمات الألعاب المحفزة على التعلم، وجزء أساسي منها، والذي يمكن تنفيذه أثناء أداء الأنشطة، أو المهام، أو الاختبارات، أو التمارين، أو التدريبات.
ويستخدم التنافس في بيئة محفزات الألعاب الرقمية بهدف إذكاء روح التنافس البناء بين المتعلمين، واستثمار طاقاتهم، ودفعهم على التعلم، ومنح المتفوقين والمتميزين منهم مكافآت، مثل: الدرجات، أو النقاط؛ نتيجة تحقيقهم إنجازات ومستويات عالية من التعلم، وقد يحتاج المتعلمون للتنافس والفوز كوسيلة للحفاظ على الشعور بقيمة الذات، أو تعزيزها، أو الحصول على مكانة متميزة، أو تولي مركزًا مرموقًا بين الأقران.
وتتنوع أنماط التنافس وفقًا لنوع المهمة إلى التنافس الفردي، والتنافس الجماعي (بين المجموعات/ داخل المجموعات)، ويرتبط التنافس القائم على محفزات الألعاب الرقمية بتنمية العديد من المتغيرات، ومنها: المفاهيم العلمية، ومهارات التفكير الناقد، والمشاركة الأكاديمية، والذي يسعى إلى تنميتها.
ونظرًا لأهمية التنافس ومحفزات الألعاب الرقمية وضروريتهما في العملية التعليمية، فقد استلزم الأمر إلقاء الضوء عليهما، وهو ما دعا المؤلفة لإعداد الكتاب الذي بين أيديكم.
