عبر صفحات رواية "يوم سلطانة" ينسج الكاتب معاذ الرقادي خيوط رواية مسلية ومثيرة لجريمة سرقة تمتد جذورها إلى رحلة السفينة العربية سلطانة، تكشف سر عِقْدِ لؤلؤٍ مفقود ترجع ملكيته لفتاة عربية مهاجرة، وبمساعدة أستاذ لعلم النفس في كلية موسكو تسعى لفكَّ الشفرات الخفية في تقرير المحقق الجنائي، ليصل بحثها إلى مدينة نيويورك الأمريكية، حيث تدور أحداث غريبة غير متوقعة وهي تتنقل بين ضواحيها المختلفة.
وتأتي الطبعة الثانية من الرواية ببعض التحسينات، مع لوحات فنية لمشاهد وأحداث الرواية، التي أبدع فيها الرسام أحمد رأفت في تحويل النص إلى مادة بصرية مثيرة، تنقل القاريء إلى أعماق الشخصيات والمدن التي تدور فيها الأحداث، مغامرة مثيرة بقدر ما هي ممتعة، وحبكة سردية تمزج الخيال بالواقع.
