شهدت القصيدة العربيّة منذ طفولتها تحوّلات متعدّدة في التشكيل والمضمون، وظلّت مُشْرَعة على التحوّل والتجريب إلى يومنا هذا، وستبقى كذلك ما بقي الشعر.
وتعدّ تحوّلات القصيدة المعاصرة ظاهرة لافتة؛ إذ لم يعد المعنى هو الذي يستدعي لفظاً محدّداً، بل إنّ اللفظ هو الذي يستدعي معاني متعدّدة، وأصبح عالم اللغة الصاخب حافلاً بالتشكيلات البصريّة التشكيليّة، والإيقاعيّة.
وتمثّل قصيدة الومضة بأنواعها: النثريّة، والتفعيلة، والعمود أنموذجاً واضحاً للتحوّل في الشعرية العربية، وتهتم هذه الدراسة بالعمود الومضة وتحولاتها الشكلية والمضمونية، وحضورها في النصّ الورقيّ، والنص التفاعليّ الرقمي، فمن طبيعة الشعر أنّه يقوم على التراكم والتجاور، لا على الإقصاء والإلغاء.
