يعتبر الشيخ مولاي أحمد الطاهري قامة علمية، ذاع صيتها في المناطق الصحراوية من الجزائر قبيل فترة الاستقلال؛ ولمعرفة الناس بمكانته العلمية أقبلوا على الشيخ فرادى وجماعات سائلين الشيخ عما استشكل عليهم من حكم الدين في سائر شؤون حياتهم. فترك لنا الشيخ ثروة من الفتاوى؛ ظلّت حبيسة في خزائن طلبة الشيخ مولاي أحمد. وجاءت هذه الأطروحة ساعية لجمع ما تناثر من فتاوى الشيخ؛ لتخرج هذه الفتاوى في حلة علمية مبنية على تصحيح هذه الفتاوى بمقابلة نسخها، وعلى تخريج ما حوته من آثار ونقولات، وشرح ما أبهم فيها من كلمات وعبارات. وقبل هذا تعطي إطلالة دراسية سريعة عن مصادر هذه الفتاوى، وعن أهم الخصائص التي تميّزت بها، كما تعرِّفنا بالمنهج الذي سار عليه الشيخ مولاي أحمد في الفتوى. ثم تختم هذا البحث بأهم النتائج التي توصّل إليها.
