جرت العادة بين المسلمين في المدن والأمصار منذ قرون أن يحتفلوا بذكرى مولد النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم تعبير ًا عن محبته واتباع منهجه عليه الصلاة والسلام.
وقد ألف العلماء رسائل لطيفة سموها "الموالد"
لأنها تقرأ في هذه الاحتفالات, فتذكر بالله تعالى, وتدعو إلى محبته, ومحبة نبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم, وإلى الالتزام بشريعته المطهرة.
ولما كان لكل زمان ما يناسبه أحببت أن أكتب مولدا مختصرا ألخص فيه سيرة نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وشيئا من أخلاقه ومضمون رسالته, بحيث يمكن أن يقرأ كله في الاحتفال بالمولد, فيخرج السامع بفكرة عامة عن الإسلام ونبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم, وضمنته مقاطع من البردة وبعض الأناشيد الدينية, ليقرأ منها المنشد ما شاء, يفصل بذلك بين المواضيع, ويعطر أجواء الاحتفال. والقصد من هذا كله تجنب ما في بعض الموالد المتداولة مما لا يصح شرعا.
واتبعت فيه أسلوب السجع اللطيف الذي تـكتب به الموالد, ونسأل االله تعالى أن يغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان,وأن يجمعنا تحت لواء سيد المرسلين عليه الصلاة والسلام. والحمد الله رب العالمين.
