هذه رسالة طريفة، ونبذة لطيفة، في موضوع من سيرة النبي المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وهو ذكرُ من حلق شعره الشريف عليه أزكى الصلاة وأتم التسليم، انتخبها من كتب السُّنة وحرّرها العلّامةُ المحدِّث الفقيه، والأديبُ المفتي النبيه، الشيخ محمد بن محمد التافِلّاتي الحنفي المتوفي سنةَ 1191 هـ)، مفتي القدس الشريف، تغمّده الله تعالى برحمته، سمّاها "منار الاصطفا في بيان أسماء حُلاق المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم". ولا نعلم أحدًا سبقه بإفراد هذا الموضوع في تصنيف.
ذكر العلّامة التافلّاتي في رسالته هذه أسماءَ من حلقوا شعر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من الصحابة الكرام، مبيِّنًا ما وقع في ذلك من خلافٍ بين أهل العلم بالسير والتراجم والحديث، وقد علّق عليها بما يلزم من التعليق المحققُ الكريم الأستاذ محفوظ أحمد السِّلْهَتي؛ فكانت للمحبّين هديةً سَنِيّة. وكل ما تعلق بجنابه الشريف صلى الله عليه وسلم. وحياته العطرة؛ فخدمتُه شَرَفٌ عظيم.
