"مقدمة الصلاة" هي متن فقهي في باب الصلاة على مذهب السادة الحنفية، حاز المكانة والشهرة، لما امتاز به من الإيجاز والاختصار اللذَين يمكّنان طلبة العلم المبتدئين من ضبطه في دروس معدودة،
تمهيداً لدراسة غيره من الكتب. لقد سلّط هذا الشرح النافع "المرقاة" على "مقدمة الصلاة" أضواءَ التوضيح والبيان لتراكيبها، والاستدلال لكثير من مسائلها، والتوثيق لفروعها من الكتب المعتمدة المشهورة، والزيادة في تفصيل مسائلها بما يحتاجه الطلبة على اختلاف مستوياتهم، وقد صدِّر هذا الشرح بدراسة وافية تناولت الاختلاف في تعيين مؤلّف "مقدمة الصلاة"؛ حيث إنها نُسبت للفَناري والكيداني وابن كمال باشا وأبي البركات النسفي، وتناولت الدراسة الاختلافَ في اسم المقدمة، وذكرت شروحها ونسخها المخطوطة وطبعاتها، وبيّنت مكانتها لدى العلماء، ومدى اعتماد مسائلها، مع ترجمة وافية للعلامة الفَناري رحمه الله تعالى، باعتبار رُجحان نسبة هذه المقدمة إليه.
