إنّ القضايا التي أثارها فعل القراءة في النص المقدّس (القرآن) في الفكر القديم والحديث والمعاصر متعددة ومتداخلة, وهذه القضايا تظهر عمق التحولات الواقعية والتاريخية والفكرية الناتجة عن صيرورة التحوّل والتغير التي تحكم العلم والفكر والإنسان والوجود, وقد أخذت هذه القراءات بعداً جوهرياً بوصفها تناقش مسألة النصّ (القرآن) المؤسّس الرئيس للفكر الديني والمجال الاجتماعي والثقافي للأمة الإسلامية, ذلك بأنّ المعطيات الناتجة عن هذه القراءات ستسهم إلى حدّ ما برسم سيرورة المجتمع الذي ارتُهنت ثقافته ومصيره وإرادته في جزء منها بذلك النص. وهكذا, تصبح القراءة فعلاً مستمراً لا يتوقف يبدأ من الماضي ويستمر إلى الحاضر الراهن, في حركة جدلية لا تهدأ ولا تنفد.
