إن المطالع لتراث العلامة الأمير الكبير- رحمه الله تعالى ورضي عنه - يتبين له في وضوح وجلاء شديدين أنه يقف قمة سامقة بين أكابر العلماء في الفقه والأصول والتفسير والحديث واللغة والتاريخ وغيرها، وقد عرفه القراء فقيهًا من أعلام المذهب المالكي، لغويًا محدثًا، انتهت إليه الأسانيد بمصر؛ و كانت له إسهامات في السنة والسيرة النبوية على صاحبها أفضل الصلاة والسلام، وأما كونه مفسرًا له إسهامات متميزة حول القرآن وعلومه فذلك ما لا يعرفه كثير منهم، وقد جاء هذا المجموع وفيه ست رسائل، وهي: ( البسملة، وتزيين المقالة في بيان الكلالة، والربح المؤبد في الصلاة على سيدنا محمد، وتفسير سورة القدر وتفسير المعوذتين، ورسالة في القراءات)؛ ليلقي الضوء على جهوده في التفسير وعلوم القرآن، وقد بدا فيه العلامة الأمير الكبير مفسرًا من طراز فريد، يفسر اللفظ بأسلوب بديع؛ سهل العبارة، واضح الإشارة، قريب المأخذ، يعقب وينتقد ويرجح ما يراه راجحا بالدليل.
والله أسأل أن يرحم العلامة الأمير الكبير رحمة واسعة, وأن ينفع به كاتبه وقارئه
