جيفري باتريك كيني (بالإنجليزية: Jeffrey Patrick Kinney) هو مصمم ألعاب ورسام كارتون ومنتج أفلام وممثل وكاتب أمريكي، اشتهر بتأليفه لسلسلة روايات يوميات الفتى الجبان، كما أنه صاحب ومُنشئ موقع لو بن ر ولي ما الخاص بالأطفال، بالإضافة أنه ظهر في فيلم يوميات الفتى الجبان المبني على سلسلة رواياته. ولد جيف في 19 فبراير 1971 في فورت واشنطن بولاية ماريلاند في الولايات المتحدة. ارتاد جامعة ماريلاند في أوائل التسعينات، وهناك قام بخلق شخصية خيالية Igdoof وصار ينشرها في صحيفة الجامعة The Diamondback.
قد طُبع وبيع أكثر من 58 مليون نسخة من سلسلة الفتى الجبان في جميع أنحاء العالم في 2010 مما دفع منتجي الأفلام لتطوير فيلم مبني على الرواية، وقد شغل جيف منصب المنتج التنفيذي للفلم، وقام بالمشاركة كممثل في الجزء الثالث منه

عيد الميلاد اقترب.. أين سيقضي آل هيفلي عطلتهم؟
وجاءت الفكرة. ففي إحدى الأمسيات، ظهر إعلان على التلفزيون قلب عطلتهم رأساً على عقب. كان الإعلان يتناول جزيرة تسمى "جزيرة المرجان" تقع في "أرض الأحلام" وهو المكان الذي أمضى فيه والديّ غريغ هيغلي شهر العسل.. راقت لهما الفكرة وقررا اصطحاب أولادهم الثلاثة غريغ ورودريك وماني لقضاء إجازة ممتعة.. هكذا ظنوا...
لقد كانت فكرة رهيبة بالنسبة لـ "غريغ هيفلي" توقع أنه سيسافر رحلة العمر.. ولكنه اكتشف أنها رحلة الكوابيس!!
سيقص "غريغ هيفلي" للأولاد العديد من الحكايات الظريفة والمواقف الطريفة التي حدثت له في المنتجع ومنها؛ مواجهة "السحلية العملاقة"، والأكل مع "القردة"، و"السباحة مع الدلافين"، وركوب الأمواج في "قارب الموز"، وممارسة "رياضة الغطس"، وآخرها مطاردة حراس الشاطئ له من كل حدب وصوب!
أما بالنسبة لعائلة هيفلي؛ فقد قضى "غريغ" على أي فرصة للعودة إلى ذاك المنتجع..
قصة «رحلة الأحلام» هي واحدة من سلسلة (مذكرات طالب) الأكثر قراءة والتي أحبها الأولاد في شتى بقاع الأرض.. لا أحد قادر على تسلية الأولاد أكثر من "غريغ هيفلي".
