يتصور برونو الكون كونًا لانهائيًا ، لأنه يمتد بلا حدود ولأنه يتكون من عدد لا حصر له من الأجزاء. فالكون كذلك لأنه من غير المنطقي أن يكون له حدود ، و من ناحية أخرى ، يتطابق الله مع الطبيعة اللانهائية.
لكن الفيلسوف يميز اللانهائية من الله عن اللانهائية للكون:
- يقول بإن الله غير محدود ، لأن من أجله يستبعد اى مصطلح. وكل صفة منه هي واحدة ولانهائية ؛ ويقول إن الله غير محدود تمامًا ، لأنه هو موجود في العالم بأسره ، وفي كل جزء من أجزائه يكون لانهائي وكلي: على عكس اللانهائية للكون ، الموجودة كليًا في كل شيء ، وليست في هذه الأجزاء (حتى لو ، بالإشارة إلى اللانهائية ، التى يمكن تسميتها أجزاء) و يمكننا فهمها في ذلك. "
