الكتاب عبارة عن مجموعة من النصوص والمقالات القصيرة والأشعار التي أهديتُها لكل قلبٍ ظامئٍ عاش يحلمُ بالمطر، ولكل روحٍ قضت لياليها ساهرةً تبحث عن أمانٍ يظلّلها، واطمئنانٍ ينشر الراحة في أعماقها.
لذا حرصتُ في كل حرف من حروف هذ الكتاب على أن أتحدّث للقارئ حديث القلب للقلب كما يتحدّث الصديق إلى صديقه، وكما يبثّ المحب عتابه لحبيبه، وصوّرتُ له ما يجول بخاطره من أحاديث النفوس وسرائر القلوب، ليرى صورتهُ وهو يقلّب بين صفحاته ماثلةً أمامَ عينيه، وكأنهُ هو المعنيُّ بها دون سواه.
