أحتاجُ قلباً يحتويني... كُلما طرقَ الأسى أبوابي... أحتاجُ قباً أستظلّ بظلّهِ... حتى إذا فاضتْ دموعيَ لحظةً... ألقى السنينَ وراءَهُ.. وأتى إليّ مُهروِلاً... يحنو على قلبي ويسألُ ما بي...".
بهذه العبارات يُعلن الشاعر الدكتور ماجد عبد الله عن شخصية الشاعر الذي يكونه ويحاول تقديمها في قصائدٍ عنون لها ديوانه (أحتاج قلباً) فيوسع في دلالات ذاته وأبعاد تجربته مع الآخرين في عالمٍ أصبحت فيه نزعة الحب مفقودة، وتتحول الحياة فيه إلى حياة عبثية، فجاء شعره ليقول أن الحب ما زال موجوداً ومتولعاً في نفوس الباحثين عنه "ما زالت الدنيا بخير... ما زال في جنبيك قلبٌ نابضٌ... لا تقتلي فيه الأمل... لا تُطفئي فيه الضياءْ... ماذا يفيدُ العيشُ... إن ضاقت بكِ الآمالُ... وانقطع الرجاءْ...!".
وفي الخطاب الشعري، يبدو المشهد الشعري عند الشاعر ماجد عبد الله يتشكل من الناحية الإجناسية بما يسمى (الإنسياب الشعري) وهي ظاهرة تمنح لنصوص الشاعر الإنسيابية في السرد، والشفافية في التعبير عن الحالات التي عدّدها في قصائده، فضلاً عن سحر اللغة بما يخدم رسالته وفكره.
