مينيـ "المَاءُ" سوتَـا "السَّمَاء"، هيَ روايةٌ تَحملُ اسْمَ الوِلايَة الأمريكيّة مينيسوتا، ولايَةٌ تَقعُ في شَمالِ البَلاد. كُلُّ شيءٍ بَدَأَ عِنْدما صَادَفَ بطلُ الرواية إعلاناً مِن جَامِعَة مِينيسُوتَا يتضمّنُ فَتحِها بابَ اسْتقْبَال الطّلبَة الجَزَائِرِيينَ، في جَمِيعِ التَخَصُّصات العِلميّة.
عادةً مَا يَأخُذُ المَاء لَونَ السّماءِ، وسَمَاءُ الجَزَائِرِ قَد اِحْمَرّت سَاعَةَ الرّحيل، بينَما أخَذَت بُحيراتُ "ولايةُ نَجمِ الشّمالِ" تعكسُ قُرمُزيّتها. ليسَ هُناكَ من مُبارحة تَسبقُ تِرحالَ الرّوحِ من قاعِ الجسدِ إلى أوجّهِ، حتى إذَا ما تمخّضَ رَجَاجَةً وارتطَمَ رأسهُ بِسقفِ المَعِرِفةِ، تزحزحَ مُترنّحاً لإمبراطوريّةِ العَالمِ الحَديثِ.
بينَ لَيَالِي سَانْت بُول وأنُهرِ مِينيابولِيس، بَينَ المَدرسةِ العُليا وبُحيراتِ الشّمَال، بينَ البومِ والمُحاضَرَاتِ العِلميّة، بينَ الولاياتِ المُتحدِة والعَالَم، تَغُوصُ الرِّوَايَة فِي أقاصِي النَفس الإنْسَانِيّة منَ المُعاناةِ إلى الذّرْوَة، في عُمْقِ الفَلسَفَاتِ المُنْهَمِرَة مِن شلالاتِ الأدبِ الأمريكيّ، في فوارِقِ وجوامِعِ المُجْتَمَعَات، والسّيَاسَات" الحقيقيّة" التّي تُهدِّدُ العالَمَ أجمَع.
