ان عمل الميت ينقطع بموته، وينقطع تجدد الثواب له إلا في هذه الأشياء الثلاثة؛ لكونه كان سببها؛ فإن الولد من كسبه، وكذلك العلم الذي خلفه من تعليم أو تصنيف، وكذلك الصدقة الجارية، وهي: الوقف . فالإنسان إذا مات ينقطع عمله الذي يجري عليه بعد الموت، والعمل إنما يكون في الحياة إلا من هذه الثلاث التي يندرج تحتها كثير من أبواب الخير؛ لأنه هو السبب فيها، وثوابها يدوم للإنسان بعد موته لدوام أثرها
