السيرة الذاتية للدكتور زناتى -تاريخ الميلاد 2-8-1928 خصل على ليسانس الحقوق من كلية الحقوق بجامعة الاسكندرية فى يونيو1950، وعين فى أكتوبر 1950 فى سلك النيابة العامة - أرسل الى فرنسا فى أكتوبر 1951م مبعوثا من جامعة أسيوط للحصول على درجة دكتوراة الدولة فى تاريخ القانون - حصل على دكتوراة الدولة فى القانون الرومانى وتاريخ القانون من كلية الحقوق بجامعة باريس فى ديسمبر 1955م تدرج فى وظائف أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة أسيوط حتى عين أستاذا بها فى 1971م - عين عميدا لكلية الحقوق بجامعة أسيوط منذ انشائها فى اكتوبر 1975م حتى 1987م - عين نائبا لرئيس جامعة أسيوط لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث فى 1987م -أشتغل بالتدريس فى كليات الحقوق بجامعة الاسكندرية ، وفرع جامعة القاهرة بالخرطوم وجامعة عين شمس ، وجامعة الكويت ، وجامعة المنصورة ، وجامعة أسيوط ، وقسم القانون بجامعة الملك سعود - له العديد من المؤلفات والابحاث والمقالات المنشورة فى مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية ، والمجالات الثقافية فى مجالات النظم الافريقية والنظم القبلية العربية المعاصرة وفى نظم العرب فى الجاهلية وصدر الاسلام وفى تاريخ القانون المصرى ، وشرائع بلاد النهرين وفى حقوق الاسلام - ترجم الى العربية الكثير من الشرائع القديمة مثل شريعة حمورابى ، وشريعة الاشوريين وشريعة الحثيين وشريعة الهندوس (منو) - شارك فى العديد من من الندوات والمؤتمرات العلمية التى عقدت تحت اشراف المركز القومى للبحوث الاجتماعية و الجنائية وكلية الحقوق بجامعة عين شمس ، وكليةالحقوق بجامعة أسيوط ومركز حقوق الانسان بجامعة كلومبيا بنيو يورك -حصل على جائزة التميز العلمى من جامعة أسيوط فى مجال العلوم الانسانية عن عام 1998/1999 -اشرف على عدد من الرسائل العلمية كان اخرها الرساله المقدمة من الباحث محمد أمين محمد السيد تحت عنوان المراة فى مصر القديمة وبلاد النهرين القديم والتى نوقشت فى 28-10 -2010 - وانتقل الى رحمة ليترك فراغا كبيرا وزكرى عطرة للعلم والاخلاق المتجسد فى شخصه الكريم وذلك فى مايو 2013
