ولقد كان عملي معالجًا نفسيًّا عبرَ أربعين عامًا متواصلة، ومازلت، خاصّة أنّني مارست العلاج النفسي في عدّة بلاد عربية، وقابلت مئات المرضى من مختلف الجنسيات؛ ذكورًا وإناثًا وأطفا ومراهقين وشبابًا وشيوخًا، وقد أتاح لي هذا كله رصيدًا ثريًّا من المعرفة بالآخر، في قوته وضعفه وإخلاصه وخيانته.. ومازالت إلى يومي هذا كلّما جلست وحيدًا لاحت بملامحها وتفصيلاتها.
